Account Takeover Prevention Test
Use the demo below to see how ShieldLabs protects a login page from account takeover, even when the password is correct.
How to use this demo
- Click Sign in. The password is correct, but this device is new to the account, so a one-time code is required.
- Click Verify. The code is filled in, and this device becomes known to the account.
- Click Sign out, then Sign in again. No code is needed this time.
- Open this page in incognito mode or clear your cookies and sign in. The same device still signs in without a code.
- Sign in from a different browser or your phone. The one-time code is required again.
- You can reset this scenario with the Restart button at the top right.
Note
Clearing cookies and opening a private window within a few minutes gives one visitor several new cookies in quick succession. ShieldLabs reads that as automation, so for the next few minutes the demo refuses the request with a browser automation message.
