Use the demo below to see how ShieldLabs pays referral rewards to real friends and refuses them to self-referrals.
How to use this demo
- Click Create account. The new account gets a referral link.
- Click Open referral link, then Create account as the invited friend. The account is created, but no reward is paid: the visitor referred themselves.
- Open the referral link in incognito mode and try again. Still no reward.
- Click Copy link and open the link on another device, for example on your phone. Create an account there: you and your friend both get $10.
- You can reset this scenario with the Restart button at the top right.
Note
Clearing cookies and opening a private window within a few minutes gives one visitor several new cookies in quick succession. ShieldLabs reads that as automation, so for the next few minutes the demo refuses the request with a browser automation message.
